Village details:

The program is implemented by AICRPDA centre, Arjia in Mohanpura and Shyampura, Mandalgarh block and in Kuradia and Rawatkhera villages, Jahajpur block, Bhilwara District, Rajasthan.

The total cultivated area is 287 ha and 253 ha out of which 220 ha and 197 ha are rainfed at Mohanpura, Shyampura, Kuradia and Rawatkhera villages, respectively. The mean annual rainfall was 657.7 mm and 512.9 mm with seasonal rainfall of 603 mm and 474 mm during kharif (June-September) at Mohanpura, Shyampura, Kuradia and Rawatkhera villages, respectively.

The major soil types are sandy loam and sandy clay loam at Kochariya and sandy loam at Lapsiya village

 The major rainfed crops during kharif maize, blackgram, groundnut at Kochariya while sorghum, maize, blackgram at Lapsiya and during rabi are wheat, barley and mustard in both the villages.

The ground water table is 210 m and 250 m at Kochariya and Lapsiya, respectively. The source of irrigation is dug well and tube well covering 23.9 and 22.13 % of cultivated area at village Kochariya and Lapsiya, respectively.

In TSP adopted villages total 589 tribal farmers were participated in TSP during 2012-13 among these 215 small, 263 marginal, 78 medium and 33 large farmers from different villages. Under TSP, Bilwara district covered about 235.6 ha area where 59.2 ha from Mohanpura and 60.4 ha from Shyampura villages, Mandalgarh block. However from Jhalpur block, 58 ha from Kuradia and Rawatkhera each.
